Gele Turban : Happy New Year

Happy New Year !!!! It’s been a month since I blogged anything, although I’ve been active on Instagram, sharing what I get up to on a daily basis. The truth is the last few months have been very difficult for me, I haven’t felt like blogging much and I kind of pushed through my feeling last year.

Although this year I’ve decided to relax, last year I kept thinking I’m way behind, I didn’t do this and that blah blah blah. Which in some way made me not enjoy blogging as much as I could have. We sometimes put too much pressure on ourselves, we need to achieve this by this year or we need to be this by this year. And I’ve said to my self there will be none of that this year.

I am choosing to enjoy what ever season I might be in and I will embrace everything that comes with it! The pain, the good and the bad times, I will not be fixated on the facade of a perfect journey and be miserable when everything is not going well.

There is beauty in every season but it depends on what you focus on. Looking back at some of the most gruesome times in my life, there were actually some very important lessons that I learnt and most of them have played a major role in shaping my character and who I am.

I am very grateful for how much you’ve supported and continue to support me, I will ask that you will be patient with me this year, as I’m taking things slowly but I want to do it right and I want to stay true to myself. This might require that I go off sometimes as I will not post what I am not content with and what I don’t like so in other words I won’t post for posting sake.

2018 I’m exploring my own creativity and what it means to me and that will take time. I’m on a journey to trust my self and my instincts that will also take time. So I will leave you with this ……
